Requirements

You can either apply on this website or send 
us your application via mail.

The deadline for any application is 11.59pm CET on Wednesday, 20 December 2017. For postal applications, the deadline applies to your application’s arrival in our Berlin office, not its postmark date, so we strongly advise you to submit your material as early as possible.

To guarantee fair conditions for everyone, we cannot accept any application that reaches us after 20 December, 2017, no matter how it was transmitted. We cannot return any material.

Please assure that you hold the copyrights to all material submitted. We may use parts of your application within our documentation, even if you are not invited for the Forum and Festival. Forecast only accepts applications in English.

In general, the application requires that you:

• Clearly define your project idea, and express what you want to achieve.
• Sketch your first-draft presentation at Forecast Forum and a final presentation at our Festival.
• Identify key materials and production steps, if applicable.

There are no restrictions or eligibility requirements regarding disciplines or genres. We advise applicants to reflect on the mentor’s approach to creative production, as well as on the Haus der Kulturen der Welt as the venue and close cooperation partner of Forecast.
